PetalPop: Streamlining Local Flower Shop Experiences
Project Duration: 2 Months
Responsibilities: User research, competitive analysis, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing
Problem: Flower enthusiasts often struggle to find arrangements that match their personal style or occasion. Existing online florists tend to feel transactional, with limited personalization, cluttered navigation, and little post-purchase engagement. Shoppers are left overwhelmed by too many options, unsure which flowers best fit their needs, and disconnected after checkout.
Solution: PetalPop brings the excitement of drop culture to online floristry with countdown alerts, one-tap checkout, curated bundles, and precise delivery scheduling. Designed for both trend shoppers and event planners, it reimagines flower buying as an experience that is fast, reliable, and unforgettable.PetalPop is a mobile app and website concept for a trendy florist designed to help users browse, book, and discover floral arrangements with ease. Through research and usability testing, I found that customers were often frustrated by limited product visibility, unclear scheduling, and lengthy booking steps.
My redesign focused on:
Simplifying discovery with clean product grids and intuitive categories
Improving booking flows with fewer clicks and clearer confirmation states
Adding Personalization through care tips and product recommendations
The result: A delightful, mobile-first shopping experience that balances style, speed, and convenience, making it easier for both first-time buyers and loyal customers to connect with a local florist.PetalPop: Streamlining Local Flower Shop Experiences
