Verdura: Designing Trust in Sustainable Fashion
Project Duration: 2 Months
Responsibilities: User research, competitive analysis, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing
Problem: Eco-conscious shoppers face challenges when trying to verify sustainability claims, extend product life, and shop without guilt. Current solutions either lack proof of impact, fail to support garment longevity, or don’t make eco-friendly shipping an enticing option.
Solution: Verdura is a sustainable fashion app and website designed to help conscious shoppers make confident choices. The experience designed combines verified sustainability badges, eco-friendly checkout, repair & resale options, and personalized care tips - turning purchases into long-lasting, low-impact investments. This project demonstrates how thoughtful UX can balance luxury aesthetics, trust, and sustainability in modern e-commerce.
Verdura is an eco-fashion concept designed to make sustainability transparent, accessible, and intuitive for online shoppers. Through user research and iterative design, I uncovered pain points around trust in eco-claims, confusing product details, and friction at checkout.
My redesign focused on:
Building trust with sustainability badges, certifications, and clear impact visuals
Simplifying shopping flows so users could repair, resell, or purchase with ease
Reducing cognitive load through a clean, mobile-first layout and accessible navigation
The result: A user journey that reassures eco-committed shoppers like Carla and supports practical buyers like Priya - making sustainable choices both credible and convenient.
